I discovered the Western Railway Museum at Rio Vista Jct on this trip. Here's a view out the railfan window of a Key System car running on the museum's ex-Sacramento Northern trackage:
What's especially interesting about this museum is that its trackage is actually former interurban trackage. It was de-electrified by the SN in the early 1950s, but the museum reinstalled overhead wire after 1960 or so using original SN blueprints.
That's the first passenger train I can recall seeing with two diesels in the push mode. Very interesting. Looks like you had a gorgeous day for that Interurban ride! Nice working finding the Museum, the engine house and newly painted GP-38. That engine reminds me of Neal's A.P. road power.
