UP 1398 is an ex SP GP40-2 that's been in Oxnard for quite some time -- it stayed clean last year:
Just the other week, not so much.
That's at West Colton, and the train is probably the Gemco Hauler, taking the loco back out to Oxnard.
I like to model what I see, at least part of the time. Tagging is one piece of it.
Great photos John! Like you said, if you are going to model the modern era graffiti is part of it. I have to admit the tagging looks better on a freight car than it does a locomotive. You would think somethings are sacred. Nice job on the Rail Box car and the UP engine from the prior post. The Rail Box scene looks great
